Filtering & Sorting

Filter and sort outcomes and work cards by status, team, assignee, and more.

As your organization grows, so does the number of outcomes and work cards. Filtering and sorting help you cut through the noise and focus on exactly what you need — whether that's all blocked cards assigned to you, or all outcomes owned by the marketing team.

Filtering work cards

The Work Cards page supports several filter dimensions:

Status filter

Show only cards in specific statuses. Common filters:

  • Committed + Blocked — See active work and blockers
  • Done — Review recently completed work
  • Backlog — Scan the backlog for planning

Assignee filter

Filter to cards assigned to a specific person. Useful for:

  • Checking your own workload
  • Reviewing what a teammate has on their plate
  • Finding unassigned cards that need owners

Team filter

Show only cards belonging to outcomes owned by a specific team. This scopes the view to a single team's work without navigating to the team page.

Priority filter

Filter by priority level to focus on the most important work first.

Combine filters for precise views — "Committed cards assigned to me in the Engineering team" gives you exactly your current sprint focus.

Sorting

Click any column header in list view to sort by that field:

  • Status — Group by lifecycle stage
  • Name — Alphabetical ordering
  • Assignee — Group by who's doing the work
  • Priority — Highest priority first
  • Created date — Newest or oldest first

Click the same header again to reverse the sort direction.

Grouping

Group cards by a specific dimension to create collapsible sections:

  • By status — Sections for Committed, Blocked, Done, etc.
  • By outcome — Cards grouped under their parent outcome
  • By priority — Sections from Urgent to None
  • None — Flat list without grouping

Each group header shows the group name and card count.

Use the search bar to filter by card name. Search is instant — results narrow as you type. Combined with other filters, search lets you find specific cards quickly even in large backlogs.

Filtering outcomes

The Outcomes page supports similar filtering by status and team, plus a search bar for finding specific outcomes by name.

Filter and sort preferences are saved locally per page. When you return to the Work Cards page, your last filters and sort order are restored.
